Our story

Hello, my name is K. Rodrigues, I love music, travel, and the art of creation. Let me share a few words about myself.

The story of Silwete is rooted in a simple but founding memory.
In the 2000s, I watched my grandmother create soccer uniforms for small village tournaments. Without a prestigious school, without training, she mastered everything from A to Z, even spinning the wool herself. I was fascinated by the magic of her hands, transforming a few threads and a few colors into an energy capable of thrilling hundreds of people. No one knew where this energy came from, but I understood that creating something is about bringing happiness.

From this, my own vision was born. Eager for discovery, I encounter and hear stories that nourish this creative energy within me even more. Each life journey, each shared emotion.

To give form to this passion, I practiced sewing alongside the Belgian designer Doriane van Overeem, where I discovered a love of craftsmanship. Alongside my “traditional” jobs, I continued to develop this practice in sewing workshops, while seeking to bring my creative vision to life.

Brussels, my adopted city, shaped this outlook.
With its mix of cultures, its effervescence, and its contrasts, it taught me that beauty often arises from diversity. This city has become a muse, an infinite source of inspiration, where every street, every face reminds me of the power of emotions.

My ambition is clear: to see Silwete grow and promote Belgian creativity. Because Belgium is a land of hidden talents, just waiting for one thing: to reveal themselves to the world. And Silwete wants to reflect that.

I will talk more about myself one day… but my goal above all is to make Silwete grow.

Thank you for taking the time to read me :)
